Also know as “Coach Diesel” I’m an Austin native and strength coach with over a decade of experience working with clients in Austin, Texas. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Exercise & Sports Science (ESS) from Texas State University and have spent my career studying and applying principles of strength, conditioning, and human performance. My work has included Olympic weightlifting, CrossFit, and private personal training, and over time I’ve developed a strong belief that physical training and mental development are inseparable.

What fuels me most is working with people who are willing to improve their own lives. The decision to show up, take ownership, and strengthen their wellbeing — physically and mentally — is the foundation of everything I do. Coaching, for me, is about supporting that commitment and helping it translate into real, lasting change.

I also believe coaching is not a universal model. The right coach is someone you genuinely connect with, and not just someone who can sell you on a program. If we meet and it’s not the right fit, that’s completely okay. After more than 10 years in this industry, I’ve had the privilege of meeting many exceptional coaches, and I’m always happy to help connect you with someone who may be better suited for you.

    I started working with Davis about a year ago with the goal of gaining strength to compliment my already established marathon training. I share my training plans with him and he tailors each workout to accommodate whatever running workouts are on deck that week. This communication and flexibility has helped me gain a ton of strength while staying happy, healthy, and injury free! Since numbers speak, Ill share that in the past year Ive gone from not really knowing how to pick up a barbell to a 175 pound deadlift and an 85 pound push press (those are my favorites). Ive also cut 16 minutes from my marathon time, am noticeably leaner, and feel stronger during the hard runs. Statistics aside, working with Davis is really FUN!     I got to work with Davis for 1on1 and group training. I was in decent shape already but my conditioning needed work and I'm always looking for ways to be more functional & strong. Davis helped me shore up my weak muscles and get them balanced, and I noticed my resting heart rate over time going down thanks to the conditioning drills we've been doing.
